Two years ago on Monday, Phil and I were married for time and all eternity in the Manti, Utah temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's been a marvelous couple of years, during which time our lives have been blessed with many new opportunities and experiences, most especially that of parenthood.
Phil and I met in October 2004, through a mutual friend (my roommate). Sparing the gorey details, Phil tricked me into going out with him (which he will readily admit to), and we started seeing each other regularly. I suppose you could say that we were officially dating by November. In September 2005, Phil received his mission call to South Africa Cape Town Mission. He served from December 2005 to December 2007, during which time I faithfully (wink wink) waited and finished school. Phil proposed to me on January 22nd, 2008 (1 month and 3 days after returning home from South Africa), and we were married April 12 2008. In September, we discovered we were expecting our first child, born May 2009, named Lacey Marie BoBo (yes, both Bs are capitalized on her birth certificate). And now we're having adventures in parenthood, and what an adventure it is. And there is no one I would rather have them with.
I love you, Phil!

Easter
Easter morning looked a lot more like Christmas morning than the Easters I remember in South Carolina.
We started out the day with an Easter egg hunt for Daddy. I hid eggs for Phil last year, and he really liked it, so I decided to do it for him again this year. Maybe next year Lacey will be more interested in searching for eggs. Phil thought I wasn't going to do it again this year because of some conversations we had, which is funny, because I thought that I was hinting that I WAS going to hide candy for him, during those same conversations. He was excited when he found random candies sitting around.
Can you see the candy in this picture? Phil can't, until I took a picture of him.
Lacey just wanted to eat the basket.
Daddy took "rest hymn" a little too literally during the morning session of General Conference.
Later, I put a pretty dress on Lacey and took some cute pictures to document her first Easter. Isn't she so cute?
We made pizza for out Easter dinner. That's a bbq chicken pizza I'm diggin in to. If there's one thing the BoBos know how to do, it's make a good pizza.
And, of course, it is most important to remember why we celebrate Easter--that the Lord Jesus Christ conquered death, and rose the third day from the tomb. Rejoice, for He is risen, and He has suffered for our sins! He is risen! Christ has won the victory!
Company for Dinner!
Grandpa and Grandmother Bobo came over for dinner, and we had a delightful time. They came bearing gifts--cute summer clothes for Lacey, and a fun counting book that you can see in all three pictures. Yes, Lacey loves that book, and so does every other child who sees it. Come again soon, Grandmother and Grandpa!
