Just a few things

January has been a pretty good month for us. Nothing special, but for the most part we've been healthy and happy. Phil started class again and his workload is not as heavy as last semester. And that's nice. Lacey is getting bigger and better than ever. She's so smart and clever. Here's a picture of her sitting on a stool eating an apple. I know, not exciting, but it illustrates how much of a big girl she's becoming.

Last Monday was pretty eventful. It started with visiting teaching in the morning. Lacey went with me because there were lots of toys and even a little girl just Lacey's age to play with. Then Mommy had an appointment, so Lacey stayed home with a babysitter. Like most children, Lacey goes a little crazy when friends come over and has to put on a show. I think she ran around in circles much of the time. Then that evening, Daddy came home early and played with Lacey for a long time.

In this video, Lacey and Daddy are playing little plastic shape blocks, throwing them in their bucket and saying, "Spike!" For some reason, Lacey thought that this was hilarious and cracked up every time Daddy did it. And then of course there's the moment she sees a camera pointed at her and she says "cheese" and squints her eyes.

She was pretty darn tired after all this excitement. She laid down on the floor and covered up with a blanket. I think she was trying to tell me something. She has NEVER done this before.

So we got her ready for bed and she went and sat in her little cradle basket and read a book. I just thought it was cute.

Proof that Daddy helps with the dishes sometimes. In this case, Lacey also wanted to help, so she got to "dry" the dishes.

And finally, Lacey is going to be a big sister in August! I'm currently 10 weeks along, and, lucky for me, have had very very little sickness.
