January 2013
January was kind of a dreary month, full of snow, smog, and sniffles. Lacey started preschool (for the second time, lol), and she absolutely LOVES it. She's always so excited to see her teacher in the morning when I drop her off. I'm pretty sure that she knows about 10 times more than I knew at her age. Amy has turned into an absolute menace, but nothing out of the ordinary for her age. She always wants to empty the dishwasher, even if the dishes are dirty, and any time I open the pantry, fridge, or bathroom doors, she dashes in front of me and screams when I move her out of the way and close the door. Any chance she gets, she'll rub vaseline all over herself and the carpet, empty a full box of diapers (we're talking aprx 200 diapers) into her bed, and empty all her her clothes from her drawers. I have a sneaking suspicion that her older sister taught her the last two. It's enough to make a person crazy, I think, and that is why I'm done having children for the moment. Gah!

This was my present to the three "big" girls--homemade twirly circle skirts and some plastic jewelry to go with.

Christmas 2012
Yes, it's the Christmas post! We had a FANTASTIC Christmas this year. We were super lucky because we got to host Phil's brother Richard and his family for a week and a half. It was so much fun (and very crazy) to have two Bobo brothers and four little Bobo girls running around. It was up to Jenni and me to keep the house from falling down around our ears. :) Well, I wish I had more pictures, but I'll share what I do have.
The girls both fell in love with their Uncle Richard. Amy especially. I don't think that I've ever seen her take to somebody so fast.
My girls love to look out the window in the living room. Here, they're watching the snow fall outside. And Lacey is making a very silly face.
Daddy got an iPad for Christmas from work. At first he wasn't quite sure what to do with it, since we already have a touch-screen tablet (Android), but it only took a few days for him to decide that his new toy was pretty cool.
One evening, we went to visit Grandmother Bobo and see the lights on temple square in Salt Lake. It was very cold, but we bundled up and had a nice outing.
And I even got someone to take a picture of me with my sweet Lacey. I'm just too lazy to rotate it.
Sometime in December (I don't remember what day, and my pictures are a little out of order, I think) it snowed just enough to make a snowman. So out went Lacey and Daddy to pile up some snow and stick a hat and face on it. Lacey was very proud, and even liked to laugh at it when it started getting melty and slumpy.
Christmas day we got up nice and early to see what Santa brought. We were so lucky, because he brought Lacey and Amy their very own trampoline. It just barely fits in our basement. When the weather warms up, it will go outside, but it's been a great inside toy for letting off some excess energy.

Later that day, we had a whole big crowd of Bobos show up at our house for dinner and a gift exchange. That's a lot of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a couple of grandparents. It was pure craziness, but I loved every moment of it. Throughout the day, though, we had been trying to get my brother (Elder Welker, currently serving and LDS mission in Brazil) on to video chat. Well, Elder Welker had been trying to get the video chat to work on his end. And of course, he got it to work at the exact same time that dinner was supposed to start at my house. I've decided, though, that it worked out better for me, because I just went and hid in my bedroom and let someone else take care of everything. We had everyone in my family in our video chat--my parents in SC, my sister in AK, and my other brother and I here in UT. Way cool. I love technology.
After that craziness, we all deserved a rest.
And that was our Christmas! Can't wait til the next one. :)
